~YOGA THERAPEUTICS~
“May we BE the change we wish to SEE in the world”
Mahatma Ghandhi~

Private instruction is a perfect way to receive individual attention for your specific needs and goals as well as learn the therapeutic applications of yoga.
Yoga Therapeutics assist each individual in healing: shoulder injuries, chronic joint pain, carpal tunnel, low back injuries, sciatic pain, just to name a few.
Each session is tailored specifically to each student.
Private yoga is ultimately a commitment you are making to yourself and a long term investment in your health and well being.
Those who would benefit most from private instruction:

Testimonials by private clients:
“Since I have never practiced yoga before I did some research and was able to find Daniella. When I took her first class I was amazed with how much technical alignment was emphasized in her class. I was overwhelmed by her knowledge and experience, I also realized that in some cases I was completely not using the proper muscles for each pose. After few classes, I then decided to take private lessons with her. I am so glad to say that I made the right decision. I have been practicing yoga for 4 years but not until I experienced her on-hand adjustments and explanations of using the correct muscles & form did I see my practice improve to another level. She has tremendous yoga knowledge which includes but is not limited to human anatomy, yoga philosophy, and different yoga styles as her background. Most importantly to me is that Daniella is a very wise, sweet, fun, and a spiritual yoga practitioner. She reminds me of an old Chinese saying, ” Before a diamond shines, it is a rock”. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to be that Diamond and take their yoga practice to another level. Even the serious yoga practitioner should definitely give Daniella a try. You will be so glad you did!”

“When you reflect upon your life experience, do you remember someone that made such a profound and positive impact on your life that you aspired to become a better person? Daniella is this person in my life. I started practicing yoga in December, 2010. As fate would have it, I was guided to one of the most amazing people I’ve ever had the honor of meeting. Daniella is not just a yoga instructor. She is an inspiration to the world and model for humanity as to how we could all be living our lives. Daniella teaches with love. A love for the way she lives the yogi lifestyle and a passion for sharing the knowledge she has accumulated with her students. She truly teaches from the heart. In just a few short months my life has changed dramatically. I’ve learned how to open my heart and connect with spirit. She’s taught me the importance of staying in the present moment, not only for the practice of yoga but as a way to live my life. She’s taught me how to breathe correctly. A tool I now use on a daily basis to reduce stress and “empty the trash” that accumulates in my head when the mind wanders. Learning from Daniella is easy because she truly loves what she does. She was given a gift and she shares this gift with the world.
Daniella truly understands human anatomy. When she is teaching a new pose, I’m not only learning the correct posture and position but also the meaning behind the pose from both a physiological and spiritual perspective. She clearly defines what is happening in my body as I work toward the correct body alignment. Daniella teaches with such grace and inspiration. Before each lesson, we sit, breathe, connect with spirit and set the intention of the lesson. What specifically do I want to get out of the practice today?
What’s so great about working with Daniella is that she creates an environment of trust and encouragement. Being new to yoga, I was a little self conscious, initially, about my lack of ability. Every lesson I’ve taken, I’ve felt completely safe, comfortable, supported and encouraged. I’ve been able to “let go” of self destructive thoughts and open my heart to a higher purpose. With each lesson I’m getting physically stronger but more importantly, I’m opening up to connecting with spirit. I’m discovering who I really am as a person and learning how to live a life that is full of peace and harmony. For anyone looking to start or continue to develop their yoga practice, I highly recommend you reach out to Daniella. She will change the way you live your life.
Daniella, you’re an inspiration. The way you carry yourself, the passion you bring to your teaching and your pursuit of knowledge is something that I greatly admire. You inspire me to become a better person. I am eternally grateful for everything you’ve done for me.”
~Michael Peterson, Cupertino, CA
“I’ve been Daniella’s student for one year now, and I’ve been taking private lessons once or twice a week as well as attending classes. I started as someone with very little flexibility, lower back problems and sciatic nerve pain. Through my lessons with Daniella, I have GREATLY reduced my low back pain and increased my flexibility. Daniella’s expertise, professionalism, and love for her practice comes through each and every time, and she is a real pleasure to work with. In addition to accomplishing the goals I set out to achieve, I’ve also realized some unexpected benefits. My posture has improved, my back has developed new strength and curvature, and I’ve developed a real passion for yoga. I always look forward to my next lesson!

“I’m a 76 y.o. male and in less than eight sessions of yoga with Daniella Cotreau, my use of a cane has almost disappeared. Muscles I haven’t used in too long a time have developed good tonus, I have learned to breath properly and have increased my exercise tolerance by a manifold amount. All this has led to my ability to meditate which has a major impact on my tranquility and depth of soul. Quite frankly, I’m amazed. Daniella is a delight to work with and has done so much for my body and persona, I’ll be forever indebted.”
~Don Patrick, San Jose, CA.
“My wife Gail and I have surely appreciated Daniella and all the ways she has helped us through learning yoga. We are both in our 70′s and lead Safaris around the world. Yoga has allowed us to keep doing the good work we love by keeping us feeling youthful and healthy in our bodies and for that we are most grateful. Her enthusiasm and encouragement are fantastic. Thanks Daniella!”
